Horror Events Summer of '58 takes place in the summer of 2008, when the central character went to Russia to better study the abandoned Yunost camp. His followers asked him to go there and find out if there was anything paranormal there. Being a lover of exploring abandoned buildings and getting to old secrets, he went on a journey.

The perspective is presented from the first person. The player will have to explore the building of the Soviet camp, where strange things happened according to witnesses. As the user progresses, he learns the story about this place. The pioneer camp was a teenage and fun place, but in 1958 a terrifying event happened. At night, all the residents and counselors were found killed, and the only survivor was accused of being a criminal. After this place closed, no one ever opened it again.

The gameplay is typical of a “walking simulator”. The gamer needs to explore the environment and occasionally interact with objects, picking up useful items or finding some information. Moving from one room to another, they will gradually change and offer the study of innovations. Over time, everything will begin to seem more paranormal and terrifying, forcing the protagonist to try to leave the area by any means necessary.
