Super Mega Zero crosses a vertical and horizontal scrolling shooter with a precision platformer. The indie project also has puzzles. This title is made in a retro style. It uses arcade aesthetics, 2D pixel graphics and chiptune music. The gameplay consists of two components. The first is a classic side-view platformer where you need to collect Pi numbers, dodge traps, solve jump puzzles and overcome obstacles. The main character can run left and right, jump, dash and bounce off walls. The second is a shmup with puzzle game elements. In it, you can fly in different directions, shoot and collect random bonuses.

The gameplay changes when the player touches a special icon. Then the little man turns into a flying machine. In this state, he has to dodge obstacles and destroy enemies. Shootouts with opponents are puzzles. Moreover, puzzles can be solved in different ways. The video game Super Mega Zero has a small plot twist. A villain calling himself the Death Screen kidnapped Miss Uncertainty. And the protagonist went to save her. He has to go from zero to hero. The story is presented in a frivolous and humorous way. The gameplay and narration play up the theme of numbers in every possible way. The campaign is divided into 200 levels. All stages were made manually.
