IN Suzerain you can become the president of a country called Sordland to try to solve the problems that arise there. The main character is the ruler of the state, Anton Rain, who has just come to power. Initially, you can independently choose the appearance of the protagonist – you can change hats, beards and accessories, and also set the background to the picture that will display the character. The passage will take the form of a text quest, so control can be done using the mouse.

Suzrain's events take place in 1954 in a fictional world reminiscent of the real one. According to the plot, the country is in decline – a brutal dictatorship has been established there for the last 20 years. Because of this, almost all spheres of social life and the economy are in a dilapidated state. The player can try to fix this by making the right decisions. However, as you progress, secondary problems will periodically arise, as well as direct threats to the integrity of the state. For example, a crisis may begin, or another country will try to interfere in politics.

The actions taken influence the further development of events. If necessary, you can use a special journal that records the current state of affairs. There, among other things, you can see the strengths and weaknesses of the actions performed. For example, you might read about underdeveloped roads or high unemployment. Or, on the contrary, about freedom of competition and income growth. You can take part in dialogues with other characters – depending on the options chosen, their attitude will change.
