Syberia marked the beginning of a whole series of games. The project belongs to the point-and-click adventure genre. The graphics in the first part combine 2D and 3D. The story starts at the very beginning of the 21st century. The Siberia quest tells about the journey of Kate Walker, who worked as a lawyer. First, the girl arrived from New York to Europe to sign an agreement to acquire a factory for the production of mechanical toys. Soon the young woman learns that it is impossible to conclude a contract because of the heir, who was previously considered dead. After this, the young lady goes to Western and Eastern Europe in search of this man. He himself turned out to be a brilliant inventor who came up with various automata and other devices. The girl protagonist regularly encounters his creations during her adventures.

The heroine is able to walk, run and interact with the environment. For example: use stairs. The girl has a phone with her. She not only chats with different characters on it, but also uses the gadget to solve puzzles. There is also inventory, and it is divided into two parts. In one the heroine stores the documents she came across, and in the other she puts the objects she found. These things need to be used to solve puzzles. In addition to them, there are many puzzles in the adventure game that consist of several phases. All the riddles here are based on the plot. The controls are designed for the mouse. The cursor changes its shape when hovering over objects. There is pixel hunting here. During conversations with non-writers, the lady chooses not remarks, but topics. Sometimes you need to chat with specific NPCs several times in a row in order to move forward in the story.
