Tales of Berseria is a role-playing video game created in the Japanese style, which has its own manga adaptation. The plot develops around Velvet. She was once a cheerful and cheerful girl, but after demons attacked her village, bringing with them the “Scarlet Night” and a mountain of corpses, including the main character’s relatives, she changed. Velvet turned into a cruel and cold demon with only one desire – to take revenge on Shepherd Artorius for sacrificing her brother in the “Advent” ritual. In this world, demons with inhuman appearance are actively oppressed and exterminated by the church, which in turn has enormous influence, since even the king himself retired and transferred all power to the shepherd. Six characters gather in a group to confront the church and solve their personal problems. Dialogues with characters can be comedic, with a lot of different humor, or serious, with difficult topics raised and difficult decisions made.

• Velvet Krau, a 19-year-old girl, turned into Therion, a devouring demon.
• Lifeset is a boy whom Qrow saved from the hands of exorcists. Emotionless at first, he follows all orders. But gradually become more and more yourself, showing your emotional portrait.
• Rokuro Rangetsu – has a unique fighting style. He is overwhelmed by a single desire – to surpass his brother, for the sake of this he turned into a demon, but managed to retain his mind and personality.
• Magilu is a witch, very secretive, although she talks a lot and seems carefree, she never told her goals and intentions.
• Aizen is a pirate and the captain of his ship Van Eltia, who mysteriously disappeared.
• Eleanor Hume is an exorcist who is initially hostile and persecutes the group, but soon joins them in overthrowing the church.

Movement occurs through open areas connecting several locations. In battles, fighters use physical, magical attacks and unique abilities, which have different effects on enemies. Also, in addition to the offensive, there are also defensive mechanics: blocking, bypassing the enemy and retreating. The key element is the soul sensor. This is an indicator that shows up to 5 souls that are used when triggering attacks. Without souls, the player can still attack, but his attacks will be weak and will not pose much of a threat to the enemy. When the scale is completely filled, you can activate a unique state (elemental attacks, transforming your hand into an animal one, absorbing the energy of enemies). There is a single player mode and local co-op.
