History in TAPE: Unveil the Memories begins with a mysterious tape that a girl named Iria from Antumbria receives. After inserting it into the player, she realizes that the tape contains her father, who has gotten into a difficult situation and needs help. But to solve the puzzle, you will need to put in a lot of effort. The girl will have to go into the chambers of her own mind, walk through memories and find answers to the family mysteries that will arise before her.

Gameplay in TAPE: Unveil the Memories consists of exploring the area using a video camera, which allows you to open up additional possibilities when looking at objects. By pointing the camera at an object, you can see something new that is not visible in normal light. This allows you to solve puzzles, find connections between objects to solve a mystery or open a passage to a new location. You can also interact with objects, move them, take them into your inventory and use them on interactive objects.

To save her father and reach a happy ending, the girl will move through the story and learn new facts. The puzzle mechanics are not similar to each other, there are regular logical ones, physics-based ones and even ones that require moving in space and time. During the passage, the plot will be presented in the format of comments and stories from the main characters.
