Terminator: Dark Fate – Defiance is an RTS game where the plot centers on a conflict between humans and synthetic advanced machines called The Legion. The single-player campaign puts the user in the role of the leader of the Founders group, whose task is to control the troops and try to thwart the opponents' plan. Over time, the enemy's efforts become greater, which is why the difficulty level increases.

There are additional modes, such as quick skirmish and multiplayer match. In these sessions, the gamer can control the Resistance, Legion or Founders. Each faction is different in units, capabilities and has its own characteristics. Doomsday World is filled with danger not only from the hostile race, but also from human survivors and terrorist gangs. Traveling around the world, the user will find supplies, more allies and will overcome differences between factions of humanity.
