Events The Big Con take place in America in the 1990s, where you have to take control of a teenage scammer who escaped from the group's camp. The main character is a sarcastic and curious high school student named Ali. One day he goes on a hike with a group of classmates, but finds it boring and runs away. His family's video store faces a new problem – loan sharks trying to close the business.

Ali will have to deceive strangers, interact with pickpockets and swindlers in an unusual American setting of the 90s. The protagonist disguises himself, sneaks, steals, eavesdrops on dialogues and tries to improve his skills in order to achieve his goal. Gradually, he becomes better at picking locks and entering closed areas and other people's homes. He steals money and jewelry from the pockets of strangers, or does more complex things.

Ali's main task is to save her mom's video store and make sure she doesn't suspect anything. During the dialogue, the gamer can choose a variety of remarks that affect the success of the conversation. Communication allows you to obtain important information or avoid falling into the hands of opponents. The environment is filled with nostalgic items like teen movies, VHS tapes, pay phones, shopping malls and more. The player can freely move around the world and do different actions to get closer to the goal.
