The Consuming Shadow – Roguelike for survival with horror elements. Events unfold in the two -dimensional world, and observation of the hero occurs on the side. Game location, the location of opponents, useful objects or traps is generated in a procedural way each new passage. The user finds himself in the dungeon and will try to save the planet from the invading ancients, also trying to stay alive.

The interface displays time, character’s health and his psychological state. Mental health affects the surrounding effects, hallucinations and other unusual phenomena. Also, a gamer can see the current weapon in the hands and the number of cartridges. The protagonist uses the book of spells, replenishing as it moves. There is also a diary where the found features and characteristics of enemies are preserved even for other sessions.

The mini-card shown from below on the left helps to determine where the player was and which places have not yet been investigated. Each room is indicated in the form of squares on the 9×9 field. Before starting, you can choose 1 out of 4 characters, and each of them with its own style of passage. There are 6 types of dungeons and 10 different missions with an infinite number of random clashes. On the way, Gamer will meet with 20 different monsters. To win over them requires different tactics and approach.
