The authorities release him and send him to a secret organization called the Blades. Many problems have accumulated in the local lands – from rampaging sectarians that worship Dagoth Ur to a disease that turns creatures into monsters. The user is given complete freedom of action. It is not necessary to follow the main plot. You can complete a large number of side quests, explore the area, trade, steal, brew potions, craft weapons and armor, enchant and repair equipment. The adventurer is able to study 6 schools of magic, use bows, crossbows, axes, daggers, swords, blunt and polearm weapons, and wear light, medium or heavy armor. The game has more than 120 types of weapons and 500 types of spells. You can create your own spells by combining different effects.

The hero can join various factions and guilds (for example, thieves or magic), complete their tasks and grow in rank. The leveling here is atypical. The more often the protagonist performs an action, the faster the corresponding skill grows. You can also improve your skills by reading books and learning from mentors. If you improve the main skills for the class, the fighter will increase the level and increase the stat values. The release contains the Game of the Year Edition. It differs from the regular version by the presence of the final official patches and both add-ons – Tribunal and Bloodmoon.
