The Eternal Cylinder invites the user to act as a small creature called Trebhum. This funny character can run, pick up various objects with his trunk, roll, jump, accelerate, and also make water splashes from his nostrils and push out various things from his inventory. Also, as you progress through the game, the main protagonist will be able to receive a new set of useful mutations, which can be triggered by selected artifacts that are located in the vastness of traversable locations.

These skills can be classified according to specific body parts: 5 types – for eyes, torso, skin, legs and arms. They can be mutually exclusive, so The Eternal Cylinder user needs to select skills for his brave hero carefully and based on the current circumstances. The player will also be able to recruit new allies, who can be found in the above-ground universe by hiring or hatching from eggs.

The group will have various abilities and will be able to obtain improvements in the holy places provided for this purpose for dust from magic crystals, which acts here as money and which can be found during the game or obtained from minerals by using the appropriate skill.
