One of them is the main character, who will have to get into the epicenter of events to see everything with his own eyes.

It is not surprising that there are very few locals left here. You have to talk to them to find out the secrets that they know. You will also have to walk around the area and use your professional instincts. If the houses of the townspeople seem not so scary, then walks through foggy forests and a night cemetery will make you feel creepy.

To avoid going crazy like everyone else, anti-hallucination pills, a bright battery-powered flashlight, and bandages for emergencies will come in handy. Sometimes you will have to use your wits to solve puzzles that contain clues and useful items. If you can hold out long enough, the player will finally reach the cursed ship that started it all. There you will need to put effort into removing the burden from the innocent residents of Hollow Point and returning to normal life. If, of course, this is even possible.
