The Last Relic tells the story of Ellie's adventures. The young woman lived a quiet and peaceful life in an American town called Haven. This continued until she was suddenly transported to a fantasy world. There she was immediately attacked by monsters. However, she was saved by a guy named Dorian who arrived in time. Together with him, she went on a dangerous journey through unfamiliar lands. The heroine is trying to understand how she ended up here and is looking for a way to return to Earth. In between adventures, the lady returns to the central hub city. There you can hire fighters, take on main and side quests, chat with well-developed NPCs, help the young lady develop social connections and relationships with other characters, and take care of the farm. Local lore is revealed gradually as you progress.

The last relic belongs to the JRPG genre. The indie title emulates cult hits from the 90s. The gameplay is very reminiscent of Earthbound. The protagonist moves around the world in real time. The camera at such moments is located above and at an angle. When confronted with opponents, fighting begins. Battles take place from a first-person perspective. The fights here are partially turn-based. A special scale at the top of the screen shows the order of moves of all participants in the battle. The gameplay is diluted with various mini-games. There are platformer-like trolley rides, stealth sequences and other fun.
