The shadow of the vampire 2: Avenger returns tells of Jack Peter. This young man is the last hope of humanity for survival. The fact is that he is a hunter for various evil spirits. At a time when vampires flooded the cities and began to threaten the extinction of people as a biological species, he was forced to go on the war path. He has to fight on his own with the strongest warriors of the enemy army. They are called the angels of death and even some bloodsuckers are afraid to stand in their way.

The gameplay consists of 5 levels. On each of them, the player will have to study locations and fight enemies. To do this, he can use a variety of arsenal of weapons. It consists of throwing stars, pistols and much more. The locations are the night streets of the city, crypts and labyrinths of dungeons. The situation in them is gloomy and is fully consistent with what is happening. Sound effects and bloody scenes complement the picture. The sun comes in, twilight falls and a cruel battle between the forces of good and evil begins.
