The Wandering Village is a city planning simulator whose graphics combine 2D and 3D. This indie project differs from other representatives of the genre in its surroundings. The title is set in a post-apocalyptic setting, but not a typical one. Spores appeared on the surface of the planet and began to poison the soil and air. As a result, many people died. Those who managed to survive climbed onto the back of the giant beast, where the deadly gas did not reach. There they decided to establish a settlement. While representatives of humanity are organizing their lives, this very creature, which they nicknamed Onbu, travels to various locations. The gameplay is diluted with random events.

The skin of the six-legged giant turned out to be covered with black soil, so farming can be done in The Wandering Village. Sometimes a poisonous infection penetrates the mount's body. Therefore, it has to be carefully destroyed with flamethrowers. It is also necessary to rebuild and develop the settlement. However, the area for construction is limited by the back of this creature. It is possible to establish production chains. The user can regulate the interaction of his charges with this huge dinosaur. He feels pain and needs regular meals. People can simply parasitize on it or come to a mutually beneficial symbiosis and mutual trust. The player is also allowed to equip little men and send them on forays into outer space. The beast wanders through different biomes, where useful resources and artifacts are found.
