The plot campaign in The Wizards consists of 11 missions that unfold in three different biomes, and the total travel time takes about 4 hours. The storyteller and assistant are the old magician Alveus, who had lost his strength and physical body in the past, and is now able to broadcast his advice with the help of telepathy, directly to the protagonist in the head. The main topic of his stories concerns the former stories of the world of Meliora, before the goblins came and attacked the kingdom unprepared for aggression.

For battles, 6 spells are used (ball of fire, lightning discharges, energy shield), reproducing the appropriate gesture of the hands. Half of the techniques is known at the very beginning, and the rest open as they pass. For example, to create an ice onion, you need to spread your hands with controllers to the side, then holding both trigger, bring them together. In addition to the battles, it is necessary to explore locations, wander on linear maps, simultaneously solving puzzles and riddles. After the level is completed, the player transfers to the hub, where you can view the number of points earned, a place in the list of leaders, choose the next level, card and improve existing spells.
