Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 – a simulator of professional skateboarding with a third-person view. Compared to the original Pro Skater, the gameplay has undergone minor changes and received several innovations. A career mode is introduced, where you need to complete sequential tasks and earn money. Funds allow you to unlock additional challenges, new boards, or cosmetic items.

The main character is upgraded using the money he earns. By improving its characteristics, the character will be able to perform more difficult tricks, accelerate faster and control the skateboard more effectively. Different boards differ from each other only in appearance.
