Total War: ROME 2 – a strategy with large-scale battles inspired by real clashes between factions. There are 117 groups represented, divided into 5 cultures: Eastern, Roman, Greek, Barbarian and Punic. Differences exist in tactics, structures, warriors, type of behavior in battle, trade and the skills of special agents. The player is able to conduct research divided into civil, military and technical.

New features in Total War: ROME 2:

• Modified Warscape+ engine. Includes improved animations, unit behavior, graphics and makes battles more realistic.
• Extensive interactive map with 183 regions.
• Artificial intelligence has been upgraded. Takes random actions depending on existing situations.
• The user will take part in sea and land battles, controlling cavalry, archers, infantry, heroes or ships.
• Commanders and commanders-in-chief are able to raise the morale of the army before attacking the walls of an enemy castle or facing a bloody battle.

The walkthrough features over 500 combat units, and each of them has its own abilities. The second part features an updated economic system, which is affected by trade, friendly and enemy relations, ongoing research and reputation. Each besieged castle can take several years to “come to its senses”, to be restored, and the buildings will be destroyed to the ground.
