Total War: THREE KINGDOMS offers to go to Ancient China, where a conflict is unfolding between three states, namely Wei, Shu and Wu. At the very beginning, the user can choose one of 12 generals to conquer the kingdoms and take control of the lands. Here it is important not only to increase the power of the army and competently use the advantage in battles, but also to enter into alliances in order to receive outside support if something happens.

The main feature of the game “Total War: Three Kingdoms” is the ability to choose a mode – classic or romanticized. In the first case, gamers will receive a standard layout for this series, where the emphasis is on realism, and in the second, heroes of prose written based on chronicles literally take to the battlefield. They can win a battle even if the opponent has a significant numerical advantage. In addition, there is also a narrative part, consisting of cut scenes and text inserts. When it comes to battlefields, several variations of land are recreated, including dense forests, plains, highlands and subtropics. These are not just decorations for battles, but also a prerequisite for changing tactics in certain situations.

There is also a step-by-step mode in which issues at the state level are resolved with the establishment of boundaries and the conclusion of an agreement. The map is divided into 70 appanages, which in turn are divided into regions (some into 2, some into 3). The minority of all destinies consists of 4 regions. At the same time, the player has the option of choosing modes – he can engage exclusively in diplomacy, or command armies, arranging joints in different parts of the designated territory. One way or another, the main goal will remain unchanged.
