Touhou Project 10.5: Scarlet Weather Rhapsody – the second part in the fighting game genre and is similar to its predecessor. Most of the standard moves and combinations remain, and the key attack parameter is throwing projectiles. Evasion occurs using the “grazing” action, as was the case in the first project. However, the gameplay has improved, the shortcomings have been removed, a new plot, key characters, events, locations and rules in battle have appeared.

The main character can fly, and the player is able to collect a stronger deck of cards. The weather system affects the environment by adding obstacles or providing bonuses to one or both parties. A multiplayer session is supported for several participants who have to fight among themselves. The use of a card deck is based on spell abilities. The user can collect 20 cards with unique abilities and characteristics.

New gameplay elements and skills are unlocked when you defeat strong opponents or complete secondary tasks. Cards are divided into 3 types: spells, skills and system ones. Using them, the player can throw bombs at the enemy, change the weather, impose negative effects, or receive special attacks. Each action gives a certain effect, such as throwing back the opponent, weakening him, increasing his strength, and more.
