IN Trials of Mana There are 6 playable characters and players choose 1 as the main character and 2 more as companions. They will face 3 final boss encounters and a series of amazing adventures, and if two of them have a common enemy, this will lead to them interacting during the story. This is a fairly simple role-playing game. Gamers can freely switch between heroes, and battles take place on the field in real time. Each hero has a basic and power attack that can be charged, often to break down an enemy's defense. Fighters learn spells available in the menu.

In Trials of Mana, characters have special moves that use their super meter bar, and they have a meter for magic spells. They can even be equipped with abilities that provide additional benefits, such as healing or increasing the magic damage they deal. Characters have a useful skill used to evade incoming attacks. Combat doesn't have much depth, but it becomes more challenging as characters can switch to light or dark classes, which change their stats and offer new abilities.

For most players, the gameplay will take a couple of dozen hours. There's a new post-game sequence that contains some fun surprises. Once the gamer completes it, he will unlock New Game Plus, but the enemies will not become stronger. You can save all unlocked skills, and start again by selecting those that were not selected the first time. Or take the same ones and simply laugh at the fact that their enemies have no chance in battle against them.
