IN Uberlaufer the player will play the role of a Wehrmacht soldier in 1940, who opposed the Third Reich. The main character becomes an SS prisoner, and his task is to escape from the dungeon, facing numerous obstacles and enemies along the way. The game location is procedurally generated and randomly places enemies on the path, useful items, loot, traps and minor characters. Each playthrough is different.

Uberlaufer only supports virtual reality headsets. In VR space, the user interacts with the environment using joysticks. Many objects are interactive and can be used to eliminate opponents or overcome obstacles. The central character deserted and opposed the Third Reich, after which he was imprisoned. He needs to escape their imprisonment, completing randomly generated missions along the way.

The gamer will have many tasks, such as collecting, destroying or photographing personal belongings in the dungeon. It is also necessary to avoid meetings with opponents or neutralize them with available means and weapons. The layout of the dungeon changes with each new playthrough, as do the objectives, the backstory of the soldiers, and much more. As you progress, the user will open letters from the former prisoner, gradually learning about his previous life.
