Multiplayer game Verdun returns to the tragic events of the First World War. The plot is based on the Battle of Verdun, which began in February 1916 and lasted 10 months. Players will spend most of their time in Frontline mode. Here, 2 teams take turns crossing no man's land, trying to occupy their opponents' trench. Capturing an enemy trench will require that the gamer's forces be combat-ready for a long enough time, because this is the only way to achieve the goal. Moreover, the more allies the player has, the faster the trench will be taken.

In Verdun, enemies have an advantage when the gamer attacks, and if a certain point is not reached at that time, the momentum is transferred to the enemy team and soon it is their turn to attack. The more territory the player captures, the deeper the battle moves across the map towards the enemy headquarters – the final goal of the campaign. The battles constantly change from attack to defense throughout the match, and winning is not easy. If the squad fails to capture a strategic objective, a countdown timer will appear, after which they will have to retreat to their line.

Frontlines mode focuses on team combat. When loading into a match, the player is assigned to a squad and performs a specific role. Some teams are engaged in reconnaissance, others – attacking, in which there are positions for riflemen and grenadiers. Depending on the type of squad, the commander may call in special support such as artillery support, aerial reconnaissance, or a smoke screen. Over time, the squad will level up, unlocking bonuses such as new uniforms and status buffs. This is a much faster way to earn points, allowing you to unlock more powerful weapons for your chosen class.
