VVVVVV is a 2D platformer created in a retro style. The player will play the role of a fearless captain of a team conquering parallel dimensions. Different worlds lost contact with each other and crashed. Millions of inhabitants have died, and the survivors are struggling to survive. A team led by a leader is trying to prevent further destruction and help the inhabitants of different dimensions.

The central character is not able to jump. He overcomes obstacles by switching gravity. The ward may end up on the ceiling and back. This mechanics also allows you to climb into hard-to-reach places and find yourself in secret spots. A system like this offers many challenges and puzzles. The gamer can interact with surrounding elements, pick up objects, activate mechanisms and open doors.

Frequent checkpoints ensure that you don't have to go through the same place dozens of times. In addition to the story campaign, there are additional game modes. The “Not Dying” session is a hardcore challenge that challenges you to go through a dangerous path without dying. The world is open to exploration and consists of 400 rooms with 8 unique levels. The user is able to go through locations in a non-linear order. The final location is set in the polar dimension and has the highest level of passage.
