Wanderlost is a sandbox and open world survival simulator. There are also elements borrowed from role-playing games. The project is set in a zombie apocalypse setting. What sets this indie title apart from similar games is its 2D pixel graphics in a cartoon style with bright colors. The camera is located at the top and at an angle. With each new playthrough, locations are generated randomly. The map is endless. The hero appears in a wild and hostile environment with little more than a backpack on his shoulders. First, the character will have to survive, and when he gets back on his feet, he will have to at least somehow improve his life. When engaging in various activities, the corresponding skills of the adventurer are upgraded. As he levels up, he gains a new perk and points to improve his attributes.

In Wanderlost, the protagonist needs food and water, so he often has to search for food. To get food, you can engage in hunting, farming or looting. The game has the opportunity to build and equip a base. You can strengthen your shelter by placing labyrinths with traps and turrets around its perimeter. However, to do this you need to extract resources in 9 biomes (each has its own). The action, by the way, takes place in the United States. You can craft tools and other items. To create things, in addition to materials, you need recipes. We need to look for them. While exploring the area, you will often have to fight zombies. There are melee and ranged weapons. You can create various builds.
