War of Velana takes players into a fantasy universe. The game world is divided into 4 kingdoms: Alta, Covell, Ishdar and Jakka. Events begin in Alta near the village of Pell. The two hunters return with their kill and meet a merchant named Ion. The seller's cart broke down, which the guys are repairing together. Returning home, the heroes notice that their house has been seized by robbers. After fighting off bandits, the hunters become part of a conspiracy and learn that a bloody war is at stake.

The protagonists set off on a journey to save Velana's native lands. During their research, they will meet many allies who can be recruited into the squad. Battles with opponents take place in a turn-based format, and the battlefield is divided into cells. For each attack, the player has a turn, during which the gamer can use all the found objects and abilities of the character.

There are many characters in the game War of Velana:

• Arnen is one of the hunters, masterful with a bow and arrow.
• Krell is the second hunter, strong in the use of an ax and melee weapons, and listens to advice from his grandmother’s diary in everything.
• Dolvis, a valiant knight from the city of Dellador, vowed to protect the defenseless and restore order in the world.
• Prüm is a resident of the village of Pell, who went to study magic at the Glasmere Archive. Lives with his sister Prescilla.
• Karisa is Arnen's younger sister, serves as a priest in the Order of Velan and is trained in healing magic.
