Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr is a top-down action RPG. Events take place in the War Hammer universe. In the distant future, the Imperium is at war with the xenos. Inside it, the Inquisition keeps order. Members of the organization catch apostates and eradicate heresy. In the game you will control one of these inquisitors. The plot begins with the hero being asked to investigate the disappearance of the monastery ship “Martyr”, which suddenly appeared in the Caligari sector. When the protagonist gets inside the ship, he realizes that the god of chaos Nurgle has damaged the transport. The scene of action is not limited to one starship. The character will visit many locations.

There are 3 main classes available in Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr:

• Crusader – in battle prefers to use heavy weapons and wear power armor;
• Psyker – knows how to use psychic powers, risking warp overheating;
• An Assassin is a member of the Death Cult wearing light armor that relies on acrobatics and speed.

There are three specializations for each class. For example, from the same psyker, as you progress, you can make an ethereal wanderer, seer or empyreanist. The gameplay is reminiscent of Diablo. The hero fights crowds of enemies, finds loot, changes his equipment, completes tasks, increases levels, upgrades his skill tree, and gains active and passive skills. Most of the abilities available to a character depend on what items they are wearing. The game has a destructible environment. The protagonist is able to hide behind cover and fire from there. In battle, he is sometimes accompanied by friendly NPCs, such as guards. There is blood and meat in the fights. The gameplay also contains elements of a text quest where decisions must be made. In addition to the campaign, you can complete individual mini-tasks or launch random missions and influence the randomness in them using Uther Tarot cards.
