Way of the Samurai 2 – an action game with RPG elements that tells the story of the fate of a nameless man who finds himself in a town called Amahara. At this point, the main character encounters a mute girl, whom he begins to keep an eye on. The events take place in Japan during the Middle Ages, where the Amahara settlement is ruled by 3 dominant groups: the mafia, the police and local residents. As you progress and complete missions, the influence of a certain group will grow, and the further plot will also change. The gameplay and tasks will change depending on the decisions of the protagonist, as well as which group he prefers to help.

In Way of the Samurai 2, the core of the gameplay is combat with swords and other types of weapons. The samurai will be able to improve his equipment, repair old ones, or buy new ones. Each type of weapon and equipment has its own characteristics, which directly affect the damage dealt. In a battle with many enemies, you will be able to perform various series of techniques and combine styles for final victory. As a master samurai who wields a katana to perfection and is capable of using a variety of deadly techniques, the player will have to bring justice to the city – or chaos, if he takes a different path and chooses to join the mafia. There are also many characters with whom you can interact during the game and locations in which you will meet both side and story missions.
