Events We Happy Few set in an alternate reality in 1960s England. Here, people try in every possible way to get away from their usual routine in the city of Wellington Wells. Plunging into the plot, the user will have to uncover the dark history of this city, over and over again encountering strange inhabitants. Many years ago they experienced many unpleasant moments, so now they are trying to suppress bad memories with the help of a recently created drug – joyn. But the more the user learns, the more questions he has.

The main feature is that you have to play We Happy Few as 3 different characters. Each of them is connected in its own way with the history of this world. Depending on how the gamer behaves in the role of each of the units, he will see different options for the development of events. At the same time, each situation in the game is unique, and depending on the decisions made (where this can be done), the plot will change. Arthur Hastings, Sally Boyle and Oliver Starkey will tell their own stories and tie the plot together. In terms of visual design, the project is close to Bioshock and Dishonored, but also introduces its own details. As for the gameplay, familiar mechanics are used here. Moving, using surrounding objects, shootings or fights with guards who are checking the frequency of drug use, and so on. When the character takes another dose, the visual immediately changes and the overall tone becomes brighter. All items are divided into categories (weapons, tools, survival and others), but most of them perform similar functions. A slight imbalance is introduced by the presence of each character with features that distinguish him from others (for example, increased movement speed).
