WorldShift: Apocalypse Tomorrow – a game taking place in the future. Human civilization has achieved great technological breakthroughs, and in the 21st century they managed to travel to distant points in space to begin expansion. Humans considered themselves the most advanced and powerful beings in the galaxy. One day, a group of researchers whose operation took place on Pluto discovered a mysterious object called Pandora's Box.

Upon opening the mysterious artifact, a huge amount of energy burst out of it, destroying the Earth and other colonies, killing most of the entire population. After thousands of years, civilization has not been able to reach its previous achievements. The remnants of humanity are only fighting for their own survival, trying to find at least some resources. However, people managed to master magical abilities that help them explore the world and overcome difficulties.

The gameplay is typical of the real-time strategy genre. The plot begins from the moment a mysterious celestial body flies over planet Earth and falls into Siberia, where an energy field is emitted. An object that fell on the territory began to spread a virus, infecting nearby creatures. Subsequently, the inhabitants of the forest and some people begin to turn into terrifying monsters, aggressive towards everything around them.
