X-COM: UFO Defense This is an exciting strategy about the confrontation between two races. The plot begins in 1999, when the government of different countries on Earth discovered suspicious space activity. Soon information was declassified that aliens were planning an invasion and were already hiding among the population. In order to avoid the threat, a special-purpose organization called X-COM was created, the head of which is the main player. The project receives funding and is not limited in its powers; now the life of the planet is in the hands of the gamer. Events develop during the passage, the aliens gain greater power, but earthlings do not stand still.
The gameplay in the game is divided into two formats.

The strategic mode is more global. The player has a view of the entire Earth, he can scroll through it to get a better look or zoom in to see cities. The beginning of the confrontation begins with the construction of the first X-COM base; in total, the territory is divided into 12 sectors in which events unfold. The goal in this mode is to manage bases, detect signals and prevent enemy attacks. The organization's headquarters can be improved in every possible way, new ones can be built, new equipment can be purchased, and staff can be increased.

Tactical mode represents the actual battle. The commander will have the opportunity to control a detachment of paratroopers sent to the point of crash or landing of a UFO. Each soldier has his own characteristics and capabilities. The battle takes place in a turn-based format. The player is given a certain amount of time for each action. The more actions a fighter performs, the less time he has to move. Battles take place in various locations, there are 7 in total.
