X-Tension takes you to the famous science fiction universe of X. After the events of the previous part, the main character Kyle Brennan finds himself hundreds of light years from his home galaxy. With its help, humanity managed to defeat its main enemy – the alien race of Xenons. He does not have any technology that would allow him to instantly make the leap and be close to home, and therefore Kyle is forced to explore the new system in search of resources, work and, of course, a good fight.

X-Tension lacks a single storyline. Instead, there are several hundred small quests. As for the ending of the story, it will remain open. The emphasis is primarily on freedom of choice and unrestricted exploration of the virtual world. No one dictates who Kyle should trade with, cooperate with, or fight with. The battles in the simulator take place in real time, where the player controls the ship from the first person, sitting in the cockpit.

In addition to space exploration, it is important to engage in resource extraction. If there is enough money, the gamer is able to build his own mineral extraction plant on one of the planets. You can use them for your own needs or put them up for auction, thereby earning even more credits. All actions on the space station take place in normal text mode – the character cannot freely travel anywhere except in outer space.
