Xenoblade Chronicles 2 – role-playing game and continuation of the Xeno series. Most of the mechanics are borrowed from previous parts, but have been improved and have greater parameters. In addition to the main character, the player controls secondary team members who are subject to leveling up and additional interaction. There is no open world, but each mission offers a vast area to explore, and some locations are traversed in a non-linear manner.

The combat system is presented in real time. The user can freely attack the enemy, use special abilities and order secondary units. The day cycle affects certain aspects of the game, such as quests, the strength of opponents and the availability of things. In the second part, Blade creatures appeared, summoned by Crystals. Drivers, people, receive powerful weapons from the summoned creatures.

Each character can use a maximum of three Blades at one time. Summoned partners not only provide their own weapons to the owner, but also help with enhancements, bonuses and ultimate techniques. The auto-attack function has become in demand, filling Artha’s ability scale. There are 3 Art on the panel, each of which has its own effect. For example, Topple knocks the enemy down, and Smash takes away a large amount of health.
