Xenonauts: Xenophobia (X-Files) takes the player into a fictional reality in 1979. The USSR and the USA are creating a common alliance aimed at destroying alien invaders. The gameplay is divided into two parts: strategy and tactics. In the first, the user needs to create a base and develop it by adding structures, researching technologies, extracting resources and performing other functions to improve the territory.

In the tactical part of the gameplay you will participate in battles. The combat system is presented in a turn-based manner, and units can be both ground and air. Controlled soldiers fight with ships of an extraterrestrial race. Compared to the original X-COM: UFO Defense, the game introduces aerial combat, adding its own features, units and opportunities to achieve victory.

Changes in Xenonauts. Xenophobia (X-Files):

• Combined 22 extensive mods, tweaked and configured so that they are combined and do not conflict with each other.
• Equipment, ammunition and weapons are running out. Previously, it was endless, but now the gamer will need to take care of
• equipment and ammunition.
• More difficult start to the match. At the first base, weapons such as a pistol, shotgun, assault and sniper rifles, machine guns and a rocket launcher appear.
• Added new artificial intelligence that controls hostile air units.
