Yet Another Exhausting Day shows a very vital and true situation, which is regularly faced with a solid part of the planet's population. The main character is a young businessman who needs to get up and stomp to work every morning. But at the same time, from by no means mind spending time in bed in an embrace with a pillow. Nevertheless, he has to fight the temptation over and over again, not allowing his head to fall on a pillow or soft sofa in a large complex with apartments. All this is more subject in the opening video, after which the system immediately moves to the active part of the gameplay.

The gameplay in Yet Another Exhausting Day is quite simple and offers fairly light mechanics that can be quickly mastered during the passage. The character moves along the locations in a lying position. The task is always the same – to get to the desired point on the location (it is highlighted by the corresponding sign). But the main difficulty is not to contact with pillows, sunbeds or beds. The whole if the character stops on them on the way to the goal, the level will end there right away. Therefore, it is necessary to look for workarounds over and over again in order to avoid a forced replay. Over time, the situations in which the character will find themselves will become more complex. For example, pillows will begin to move, forcing to calculate movements in advance. It is also important that the situation will turn out to be losing precisely with the touch of the head, and not with the whole body.
