Yousei is a detective visual novel in which the player will have to investigate a murder and a series of mystical events related to his past. Wrong actions and choices will lead to even more loss of life, so all dialogues should be handled with caution. There are quite a few scenes of blood and violence in the game, but they can be reduced if you think carefully.

The main character is Kangai, who travels a lot to different cities. Little is known about him to everyone around him, but when he returns to his hometown, his past unexpectedly overtakes the man. A series of murders that have occurred leads investigators to the guy who arrived and is immediately taken away for interrogation. There they tell him that this whole case became part of a secret program, since mystical details were discovered during the investigation. A special group of people working at one of the universities as a cover takes the protagonist under their wing. Now he is obliged to help them until the truth is revealed.

Yousei not only consists of a tense storyline that keeps you intrigued until the very end, but also of various puzzles. They are needed to open various hiding places and search secret places. True, before this you have to understand a number of clues, which are the key to the desired solution, which lies far from the surface. Also, a lot depends on how optimistic other characters are towards the player.
