YuuYuu Jiteki no Yuukarin follows the adventures of a young woman named Yuka Kazami. She is a youkai and the flower lord of the four seasons. The indie project is based on the Touhou Project universe. It is a platformer with action elements and a side view. It has two-dimensional pixel graphics with anime art. During dialogue scenes, large character sprites are shown on the screen (like in visual novels). In the game you need to overcome obstacles, fight monsters and collect flowers. Levels are selected on the global map. Boss battles often occur at the end of stages. Basically, the leaders are other girls with magical abilities. There are 3 difficulty types available: picnic, adventure, expert.

In YuuYuu Jiteki no Yuukarin, the girl can walk left and right, jump, climb stairs, swim, and dash. She has an umbrella. With its help, the heroine can float and attack opponents. She is also capable of kicking enemies, grabbing and throwing adversaries, and doing a spin in the air. She doesn't always have to walk. Sometimes the heroine is allowed to ski down a hill, ride in a submarine, ride in a car with a multi-barreled machine gun mounted on it, and so on. This is a fan project. Many of the enemies and locations shown in it have not previously been seen in official games of the franchise. But among the NPCs and bosses, fans can meet many familiar characters.
