Zombie Smashers X2: Punx and Skins is a humorous beat-em-up with a lot of dismemberment and blood. In this title, punks fight zombies, vampires, skinheads, metalheads, robots, and Nazis from World War II. Fights take place on the streets of major cities around the world, nightclubs and other premises, in other times, cyberspace and even on the Moon. The fights are accompanied by music from little-known Western bands playing ska-punk, hardcore and punk rock. You can beat the crap out of people and monsters not only alone, but also with a friend. Multiplayer supports the ability to play together on one PC, using one keyboard for two.

In terms of gameplay, Zombie Smashers X2: Punx and Skins is the spiritual successor to the cult game River City Ransom (also part of the Nekketsu series). At the very beginning, you can choose your character. There are 5 of them in total. Heroes and heroines can run, jump, fight with their hands and feet, and perform combos. Killed enemies drop coins. Money can be spent on buying food at the eateries you encounter (various foods replenish health and increase stats) and tattoos. Visits to tattoo parlors allow you to acquire new designs on your body, which opens up access to additional techniques. As you progress, the arsenal of movements expands, and the blows become more and more brutal. You can also take away melee and ranged weapons from your enemies, and also use the severed limbs of adversaries as weapons.
