Stronghold 3 Gold is a new part of the series about besieging castles and building your own fortifications, which is a real-time strategy game in the Middle Ages setting. Many levels are made with a repetition of historical events, into which everyone can immerse themselves and demonstrate their economic and strategic skills. There are 2 campaign options available: economic and combat. Clashes between different factions take place here in real time, and the built castle and surrounding villages create a simulation of the life of each of its inhabitants, which makes the local atmosphere even more realistic and rich in small details and events. As a ruler, you will need to directly manage the creation of troops and garrisons, place buildings in the village and build various additional buildings, including walls to protect the local population.

This part of the series introduces an even greater number of innovations and graphical changes compared to the previous ones, because now Stronghold 3 Gold has a day and night cycle, weather conditions have been added that can affect the happiness of the inhabitants of the fortress, and the construction system and economy have become even more complex. The story campaign again refers to the confrontation with an old enemy – the Wolf, who managed to survive by some miracle and now seeks revenge. He now has an even larger number of treacherous henchmen, including his right-hand man, the Jackal, and all these thugs are planning to attack at any moment. So it is impossible to do here without strengthened defense and a well-established economy in order to defeat the blood enemy.
